Sunand Menon is the founder of digital transformation advisory New Media Insight, helping the C-Suite to create new data, analytics and artificial intelligence-based businesses, digitally transform traditional businesses, and develop digitally mature and innovation-based organizations. He is a seasoned digital transformation thought leader, executive and trusted board advisor with 25+ years of global corporate and board experience.

Sunand has often served as an outsourced Chief Executive Officer or Chief Digital Officer for clients in financial services, technology, health and pharmaceutical services, education, non-profit, manufacturing, professional services, media and industrial sectors. For more than a decade, Sunand has created and given courses on digital strategy and execution, innovation and new venture development to senior executives and high potential employees in Fortune 500 companies as well as in start-up organizations.

Sunand is also an Executive Fellow and member of the Leadership Initiative at the Harvard Business School, where he co-teaches the Leading in the Digital Era” Executive Education course. He focuses on designing and running interactive learning programs to better prepare leaders for the complexity and speed of the digital era and to instill the right mindsets and behaviors to thrive in the current business world.

Sunand’s board experience includes appointments in Finance, Strategy, Audit and Innovation committees of organizations requiring his expertise in digital transformation, data commercialization, data security and growth strategy.

Sunand holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and an M.Sc and B.Sc in Chemical Engineering from Delft University in the Netherlands. He has lived and worked in North America, Europe and Asia. He is widely published including Harvard Business Review articles on digital strategy, data/analytics commercialization, innovation and digital leadership.
